Corvid update: We are starting back in September 2020 following the government guidelines here. We now only run one group and that group is separated into two pods. We can’t offer taster sessions at the moment due to the logistics of it all, but will again in the future. We are currently full with a waiting list.
We run green stay and play groups every Tuesday in term time 10-11:30 – The Golden Buds! It’s a lovely and laid back group aimed at 18 months to 4 year olds and is a fabulous opportunity to be outside with your little ones, digging, playing, finding newts and frogs and bugs and mini beasts, and making things all in the heart of urban Bristol! Each week we’ll be running one or more nature-y, garden-y, crafty activity as well as giving you a chance to wander off and explore the garden, the look for fish and frogs in the pond, dig and play in the digging bed and help water the plants.
We take booking on a termly basis (i.e two school half terms). Each session costs £6 a second siblings are £2.50 and under 12 months are welcome along for free.
We are currently full but get in touch if you’d like to join the waiting list.
Feedback from parents!
“Thank you for being the highlight of our week. This is for sure the best toddler group ever”
“Golden Buds is definitely the BEST thing to do with a pre-schooler. Because of the garden, the climbing tree, the pond, the balehouse … the way you keep the kids free range and safe and the laughs”
“Every week without exception has been great”
The sessions are run by Lucy Mitchell (Pediatric First Aid Certificate) and Pauline our fab volunteer.
Hi,
I think the golden buds sounds wonderful! We’d love to come along but my son is only 14 month. Does this matter? He is walking confidently and is very keen on being outdoors!
Let us know if you think he’d manage or if we need to wait a few more months,
Thanks, ellie
Hi Ellie – Well we are aimed at slightly older children but you are welcome along to come and have a chat and a look around to see if your son likes it. Give me a ring o 07606 905 394 or email ghcgarden@gmail.com.
All the best
Lucy
